The City of Edinburgh Council owns Silverknowes Golf Course, the Management Company, Edinburgh Leisure is responsible for the green fees.
Silverknowes is a beautiful shore-front course, the course is easy to walk and provides a fairly gentle start with a tough finish which can be quite a test in a westerly wind. The fairways are generous but there are several well-placed bunkers to catch any wayward shot.
Enjoy the challenge of this parkland course with a combination of mature and new trees which help to define the holes and course boundaries and enhance the commanding view across the water to the Kingdom of Fife and Cramond Island. Silverknowes offers a good golfing experience for players of all abilities.
Silverknowes Golf Club which is affiliated to Silverknowes Golf Course has a fully operational clubhouse with a bar and lounge and also serves food.

This is a beautiful course to play and very relaxed. At the first hole were a pair of deer! With stunning views over... Cramond Island, this superbly kept course never disappoints. I should probably recommend the upstairs cafe for a bite to eat afterwards.read more

Nice challenging course with some good holes, course could be in better condition if Edinburgh Leisure invested some... money and expertise and got the tees, fairways,bunkers in better condition. Pretty scruffy in places!Greens are usually pretty good in the summer, but terrible just now April ?But worth a visit 👍read more

Maxine's Cafe is superb. She is very friendly and helpful and is a great cook. If one sits right at the windows they... get an impressive 180° view of the course as well as the Forth bridges, Dalmeny Estate and the disused Lauriston pastures visible at one end, the Kingdom of Fife and the river Forth central, and the impressive edwardian Granton Gas Holder and the North Sea on the other.read more

Didn't play the course though it looks in great condition I went for the cafe upstairs. 2 Bacon rolls 2 coffees £6:80... the bacon was just how I like it (very crispy) First class and the staff were very helpful. WORTH A WEE VISIT but I think it's only open between 10:30- 2:30 at the moment and I think they do party's of more than 4 As there were tables put together for ten when I went. Keep up the good work xx update the course is in excellent condition sand and rakes in all bunkers greens are fast fairways lush well worth a visitread more

Great weather obviously helped but a great round of golf. The course was in good condition and despite a what seemed... like a very slow round we took 4 hours for 18 holes.We couldn't get booked on the website and the phone was never answered for Edinburgh Leisure. Finally managed to get booked through the app.read more

This is a review for the café only. We stopped off there on a group cycle. The café enjoys a stunning view across the... Firth of Forth looking North. We had a coffee, tea and and a breakfast roll with two fillings all for £5. This represents very good value. There is a limited range of coffees on offer so you will be disappointed if you are expecting a variety of coffees as per Costa. The service was friendly and efficient. There are some toys there for children under three/four. Also, today's Sun and Daily Record papers were available to read. There is a lounge area as well with comfy sofas if you prefer.read more

Reasonable price for a full 18 holes. Really nice parkway course with a good bit of challenge. Bunkers are very hard,... and the some fairways are prone to being a bit waterlogged. Greens tend to run very fast.read more
