Clubhouse Facilities
Bar/Restaurant: Enjoy the comfort of the relaxed surroundings and the amazing views while experiencing the service of exceptionally trained and attentive staff. The restaurant will offer a casual and delicious selection of traditional fare as well as some unique and creative creations not typically seen in many golf clubhouses
Drinks/Snacks: Bar snacks and sandwiches are available all day. A drinks buggy circulates the course.
Changing Facilities: The Ladies and Gents locker rooms provide changing facilities for the visitor with day lockers available and drying room.
Shower Facilities: Shower facilities are avilable for visitor use.

Pro-Shop: Dumbarnie Links will offers a fine collection of the latest styles and trends in Ladies and Men’s golf apparel, as well as Scottish memorabilia, special gifts, and accessories of all types to remember your day at Dumbarnie Links. In addition, the shop will offer golf equipment from Callaway, Titleist, and Taylormade.
Golf Club Hire: Golf clubs available to hire. Caddie services are available.
Buggy Hire: Buggies only available for golfers with disability or permanent condition with a medical certificate. Buggies must be booked in advance to ensure availability and will be driven by a caddie.
Trolley Hire: Pull trolleys available
Practice Area: Grass range with space for up to 30 players at any time. Short game area with pitching green, practice bunker. Practice balls are provided complimentary for all guests

The aim of Dumbarnie Links is to provide a world-class, prestigious golf course on a site of genuine links land that is only minutes away from St Andrews, the “Home of Golf” coupled with service standards that do justice to the quality of the experience. This incredible piece of land has a mile and a half of sea frontage with panoramic views over the Firth of Forth
At first glance Dumbarnie Links may have the appearance of the style of the classic links courses where The Open Championship has been played since 1860. However, the extensive 345-acre site at Dumbarnie is particularly special. Its dual elevations, which are connected by a flowing escarpment, have provided the opportunity to create a number of elevated tees where holes play directly towards panoramic views of the expansive Firth of Forth.
A further outstanding feature is that a number of tees and greens are in close proximity to the water. In fact, fourteen of the holes have views of the Bay and the Firth of Forth.
The design incorporates three potentially driveable Par-4s and features several holes that engender ‘risk and reward’. This course is designed to inspire rather than intimidate golfers.
With views overlooking the Firth of Forth, you will certainly want to settle in before and after your round (or simply drive out for a visit) to enjoy the stunning scenery. The restaurant will offer a casual and delicious selection of traditional fare as well as some unique and creative creations not typically seen in many golf clubhouses. A full bar offering will also be available.

The men greeting us as we arrived , the waitress who served us breakfast , the starter at the first tee giving us a wee nip of whiskey before our round and as for the course itself …. Outstanding Golf experience on an outstanding Golf course. Yes the course needs to mature, however it was still in... fantastic condition. One of the best Golf rounds ever played. The staff was super. Golf pro Blair very accommodating and provided excellent quick lesson. Our group loved our round and the entire experience.read more

What a fantastic spot and lovely course and clubhouse. Having heard a few moans about the state of the greens we were... sceptical, and yes they were slow after coming from Gleaneagles, but it couldn't have been in any better condition. Was actually nice to go for the pin for a change!! Staff in the bar were very nice although we didn't finish until 10pm from the course. Food and drinks were lovely. Many thanks.read more

In a word, posh. Well manicured modern layout with multiple tee decks, impeccable greens, good bunkers and irrigated... fairways. The entire course and clubhouse seems very contrived in the hills outside of St Andrews, but it manages to pull it off. Friendly, capable staff provide a warm reception to all. Well stocked pro shop. Nice Clubhouse/restaurant. Very North American look and feel as opposed to Scottish chic, but a lovely golf course none the less!read more

Arriving at dumbarnie is surreal. The view on the Terrace is mind blowing. The 1st holes smack you in the face. Then... the majestic sinks in but the whole 18 is stunning.read more

I really enjoyed my round here back in April. A group of 20 or so played here as our first stop off the plane but... nonetheless still really enjoyed it. Pure class all the way around. It was a little mind blowing that most of the land movement was man-made which took a little bit away from it. Regardless. it was a blast on and absolutely perfect day.read more

Played in a Mizuno golf pairs competition and it's the first time I've played a 'premium' golf course. First of all,... there were a lot of complaints about the greens. Now, aesthetically they were not pleasing on the eye. However, as evidenced by the scoring that day, they ran great. I can understand that at the price point then people expect the very best, however sometimes golf courses are at the mercy of the elements. I thought the rest of the course was stunning, one of the best I've played, and had a premium feel throughout from clubhouse to tee. Will definitely be back in the future.read more

Lovely set up and some really stunning holes. Clubhouse great and staff very helpful. Never like being negative towards... courses however the greens are in really poor condition. For a set up that clearly has had a lot of investment alongside what is a higher end price point to play the greens need to be significantly better. Hopefully the feedback helps and look forward to playing when greens have improved.read more

I visited first time in May 2021 and the weather was horrific. Worst conditions I have ever played golf in. When we... staggered off the 18th we were offered a free drink…much needed…and a complimentary round…hugely appreciated. Returned in September 2021 and fell in love. We have 16 golfers from our club coming to play Mizuno pairs on 2 May. All very excited.read more

Was fortunate to play here last year and was so impressed I just had to return today with my son for his birthday... treat... and a treat it was.As expected, the service from all the staff was excellent and friendly. The food was fabulous from the morning bacon butty to the after match lunch.The course has noticeably matured since last June and looks terrific. The greens were a little bobbly in places but we're just into spring and the new season and they'll be as I remember them in two to three weeks. The day was only spoiled by the vagaries of the Scottish weather.Every hole presents its own challenges while still keeping within the same course character. It is difficult to pick a favourite but the 18th, for me, ranks as one of the best finishing holes I've played.Congratulations to all the staff. A great day. My son and I will be back.read more

Great course, great layout, but not quite yet perfect!Felt like it wasn't the easiest to navigate between holes from... greens to the next tee, some additional or clearer signage would help this.The tee box markers aren't the greatest, the blue looks like white when the sun hits it, maybe consider slightly taller markers or a different shape?Apart from that, its only going to get better as it matures. Will most likely play it again.read more

Hi thereJust a quick note to say a huge thank you for showing us around today.I have been driving past the... development for several years and it wasn't until I saw the Clubhouse lit up last Sunday evening, as I fled past at high speed, that I thought I really must pop in for a look around and I am so glad I did.What a beautiful setting and clubhouse. Although the course wasn't open today; the welcome we received was quite exceptional.We are booked for Sunday lunch which we are truly looking forward to as the menu is fabulous and the views from the restaurant/bar are second to none (including Crail...)We will see you thenKind regardsRichardread more

What a fantastic course , considering the time of year , the fairways were like greens , the design and difficulty are... off the highest standard , total links golf and throw in the wind, what a challenge. A lovely welcome from everyone in the Pro shop , to the starter and a gentleman who greeted us at the door everyone was very friendly and very informative, it’s an experience I had looked forward too since the course opened and it did not disappoint. Amazing links considering how new it is. Very playable but still challenging with a range of tees to suit every level.... This will become a must play course as it matures. The staff were great and the interior of the clubhouse is comfortable. If I have one minor criticism, it is the clubhouse looks a bit utilitarian when viewed from the course. Does not detract from the golf however.read more

A nice modern course, which is forgiving for the average golfer, but I didn't feel it was worth the premium compared to... some of the excellent historic courses nearby. If you want to experience a real Scottish links head a coupe of miles east or west to Leven or Elie.read more

I haven't played this course. It's not on my to do list. Watching the ladies so went on the website. £258 for a green... fee. If it doesn't get 5☆ reviews they should be shot. It's new. There's lots of good golf courses in Scotland and you can play 3-4 of them for that money. It's 18 holes of golf, if I play rubbish I can get that down to £2.58 a shot. So I'll leave it to the Yanks.Just had a reply to this review. It doesn't change my opinion. It's not slanderous to think £285 is a ridiculous green fee.read more

I've had the good fortune to play 3 rounds at Dumbarnie and have loved every minute.On arrival at reception it's a... nice touch to be received by a meet and greet.The food is excellent and the casual feel of the bar and dining area strikes just the right note.Before teeing off complimentary range balls were available. The range is adjacent to the first tee which is handy.I've played in horizontal rain and in beautiful sunshine. Not even the inclement weather could spoil my enjoyment.It's quite incredible to think that this course didn't exist only a few years ago. It's a good test of golf with some fun risk/reward holes.The course was in excellent condition and the undulating greens were superb.Looking forward to my next visit. More than worth the green fee!Well done Dumbarnie!read more

Played the course today and was very impressed with it. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the tips and advice... from the starter were much appreciated.The course itself is immaculate and a joy to play even if my golf wasn't up to standard it was hard to be downbeat given the surroundings.The most impressive thing for myself was that the design and layout of the course which made my group feel like we were the only ones on it despite it being incredibly busy. Fantastic can't speak highly enough of it.read more

Golfing heaven! This historic club is a wonderful place to spend a day. The staff are welcoming, helpful and... professional. The course is always in great condition and tests every facet of your game. Playing foursomes is fun if you have a good partner, otherwise you see a fair amount of rough. The lunch is old school style the atmosphere is fantastic. One of my favourite golfing experiences ever. Will never tire of this wonderful place.read more

Brilliant, from the minute you reach the front door your made to feel welcome. Easy check in, staff all polite and very... helpful. Had a full breakfast which was extremely tasty before we headed out, ate it in the lounge/dining area and admired the view down the first hole, amazing panorama.We then set out to the practice area and then on to the starting box, at the first tee we were met by a gentleman who presented us with a momento pack and gave us some tips on how to play the course.As for the course itself, the greens, tees and fairways were all in brilliant condition.This was one of the most enjoyable days I've had in all the years I've played golf. I cannot praise this course highly enough. Magnificent.read more

I had an awesome experience today, right from the start being met at the front door then the checking in process I felt... I was being treated as a VIP.The staff in the Old Barn were so nice and helpful, how they could be so cheerful on what was a fairly miserable morning was a tonic after the very wet drive from Livingston and set the tone for the rest of the day.Davy the starter advised my playing partner and me to make sure we hit the putts hard enough to reach the hole, wish I had taken his advice, we were both fearful of racing past the pins on what was superb greens. The greens and the aprons were like billiard tables and we both would like to compliment you guys for a job well done.I was surprised at how well the wet soaked away and the run we got on the fairways combined with the eventual fine weather meant we had a great Dumbarnie Experience.So a big thank you all for giving us a great golf day out and we look forward to a revisit sometime soon.read more

I was aware of good reviews and was looking forward to playing. The weather was terrible so that didn’t help. The... course was good although the areas between holes need to develop properly. I see a previous comment re alternative courses in the area. I have played these and in my opinion not quite as good as this but why not give the local economy a boost and play two or three of them.read more

Played Dumbarnie today. Not the greatest course I have ever played. Leven Links and Lundin Links are far better just... down the road. It was also not very welcoming when you arrive. Went into check in, Girl asked for ID and that was it. Met the starter who had no chat again, no welcome to Dumbarnie. Not worth the money. Way better courses and Facilities around it.read more
