In Their Words ...........

Downfield Golf Club set in scenic parkland, Dundee’s premier course is a challenge to every golfer teeing off at the par 4 first and moving round the rolling contours of the course and offers a variety of challenges to every golfer regardless of his or her ability.

Although it has been described by many of the world’s leading players as one of Britain’s premier parkland courses, Downfield has never fully received the recognition it deserves. It is an inland gem no visitor should miss, combining wonderful scenery with the natural wildlife of squirrels, water fowl, buzzards and deer, Downfield offers a truly challenging and enjoyable experience to all golfers regardless of their abilities. The course which has played host to events such as the Scottish PGA Open, the SPGA Masters and the UK Girls Home Internationals was also the venue for the 1999 and 2007 Open Qualifying stage.

When visiting our local golfing greats, St Andrews and Carnoustie, you are never more than 25 minutes from Downfield, so don't miss out on adding this great course to your visit.

The clubhouse at Downfield Golf Club caters for members and visitors, visitors are treated as temporary members and are welcome to use all the facilities on offer. At Downfield there are plenty of great food options from breakfast through to dinner, and you will not be disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food served to you.
