Best bang for the buck course in Aberdeen by far. Friendly staff and good condition overall.

Very demanding golf course with many "hidden holes", which make it challenging, especially if it is your first time playing it.To highlight the kindness of the employees who rented me a complete set of clubs, letting me return them the next day with no condition other than trust. It's a pity that they don't have a pro shop.Very good value for money.

Lovely course in east driving distance of Aberdeen. Greens, fairways & tee boxes. Great customer service and there are buggies ( power carts) and hand carts available for those who are flying in. Nice terrace overlooking the 18th green with great views.

Nicely maintained course with great views of Aberdeen. A bit noisy due to the harbour and the construction work going on at the new harbour but I would definitely play again and would recommend the course.

Played my first round today. Course was in great condition and the views were stunning over the harbour and back over the city. Quite a few of the holes have very steep fairways and blind tee shots so be prepared to do lots of steps. Wind can make tee shots tricky also. Recommend to anyone looking for a great round of golf. Plus 20 handicappers would probably struggle

Interesting course and in surprisingly good condition despite significant recent October rainfall. Main greens in operation and had just been spiked, however they still ran true enough not to make putting a complete lottery.Front nine not too demanding although some thought needed for approach shots. There can be some tricky pin positions. Back nine has a number of potential card wreckers.Green fees very reasonable and the offer of monthly memberships is certainly an attractive proposition particularly if you are not an all year round player.Enjoyed my round and will be back particularly when the course is in full bloom.

In their Words…….

Balnagask is a distinctive golf course and offers a great variety of golf holes in a spectacular setting. Built at the mouth of Aberdeen Harbour and bounded by the North Sea with views available up and down the coast as well as across the busy harbour with the city beyond are breathtaking. Widely acknowledged as one of the best municipal 18 hole courses in Scotland, James Braid, Archie Simpson and the Hawtree family all had a hand in carving out this coastal golf experience.

The golfer will enjoy the naturally rolling coastal landscape offering hidden fairways, elevated tees, gorse walled ravines and a host of interesting features including the historic Girdleness Lighthouse and the medieval Torry Battery.

Visitors are able to use the affiliated Nigg Bay Golf Club facilities
