Weather Summary
ABOYNE Golf ClubIn their Words…….
This long-established golf club plays over an 18-hole course and blends into the rolling countryside to the north of the village of Aboyne on Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire. Offering an especially warm welcome to visitors and some of the finest golf in Aberdeenshire and North East Scotland.
You can expect a test for golfers of all abilities at Aboyne Golf Club. It presents a rich variety of memorable holes and makes the most of the natural variations in the terrain which is a mix of rolling parkland with inviting fairways and elevated links-like heathland with tighter targets. Mature trees and water are in play on many holes, with the Aboyne Loch being a notable feature.
Laid out on a free-draining soil this golf course enjoys a surprisingly dry micro-climate. Exceptionally well-maintained and shows little, if any, of the usual signs of the passage of golfers. Two practice areas including one for short game available to members and visitors . The superb setting by the Aboyne Loch has splendid views of the Dee valley, ranging from Clachnaben to the distant peak of Lochnagar. There is every chance you will be diverted from the task before you by the visit of an osprey or the sighting of terns or a heron fishing the shallows of the loch.
